About the NYC Plover Project

We are a group of New Yorkers working to fiercely protect endangered piping plovers and other shorebirds that nest on our city's beaches.

About 100 Piping Plovers have nested in NYC in recent years, and between 6,000-8,000 plovers remain globally. In NYC, few of their chicks survive. This must change.

They need our help.
