Interested in volunteering with us?
We ask for a season-long commitment, May through early August, with regular volunteer shifts on the Rockaway Peninsula from Breezy Point Tip to Far Rockaway, through partnerships with the National Park Service/Gateway National Recreation Area and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. All volunteering opportunities are in-person, in the Rockaways.
Many of our volunteers do a weekly shift. There is a lot of ground to cover and many birds to help protect. Volunteer training is required for all new and returning volunteers.
